It is nice and roomy inside in hammock mode. On the ground as a tent, it's a bit cramped for me 6'3" and 250+ lbs. Children or smaller adults probably won't have to worry about that. It's also a bit on the heavy side for backpacking but should be fine car camping, in the winter (with a sled) or for casual naps and overnighters or short trips into the woods. The floor is a bit slippery, you have to get your weight well inside when entering or risk sliding out. I didn't find it any more unstable or tippy than my other hammocks. In my case, rigging the suspension a LITTLE flatter and more taut than usual for bridge hammocks reduced the sag and made it more comfortable. There is also room for a diagonal lay which also helps. I look forward to experimenting with the Lawson Blue Ridge to achieve it's ultimate hang.

I waited to write a review about the Lawson Hammock because I wanted to test it out and really see whether it was what I was hoping it would be. I purchased the hammock in the Spring of 2023. I have probably used it some 35 nights worth of camping since then. Over half of those nights were spent in very remote areas of the Boundary Waters (BWCA) of northern Minnesota. These are my feelings about the hammock: - Price - I don’t mind spending a little more for a hammock that is made well…which I believe it is. - Durability - The hammock has held up well. I have noticed the bottom has stretch a little from me sleeping in it but it has not compromised the quality of sleep I get. - Comfortabilty - I am a side sleeper. Even though I cannot sleep totally on my side in the Lawson hammock, I can sleep close enough and somewhat in a fetal position to be comfortable. I like having the open space inside. I sleep very well now and enjoy it. The underquilt is essential on cooler nights. - Side notes - The hammock can have the tendency to flip if you’re not careful. I remedied this by purchasing some extra paracord rope and tent stakes. I attached them to straps where the poles secure onto the ends of the hammock. These lines help keep the hammock very stable. I also use a separate rain fly rather than the one provided. I like having air movement and like to look outside from where I’m sleeping. Thanks to Lawson for providing a great hammock to sleep in. I definitely recommend it to others.

What I love about my bundle is I'm still waiting on it. Only received the hammock so far but still waiting on rest off it but no idea when as canna find out a time when to expect it

Hammock worked great for a two night stay in 50 degrees. I never felt unstable. My sleeping bag slides too much on the hammock fabric. I need to invest in a "non slide" mat to put between them. It would be great if they developed a custom sized solution for a perfect fit.

I read the reviews, but you really don’t know until you receive the product in-hand and can test it out yourself. My son and I bought these for a backcountry motorcycle trip 2 weeks ago. Although the quilt was on backorder, Lawson Hammock went ahead and sent us the hammocks separately for our trip. They sent the quilts a week later, which is impressive since I know it cost them extra for shipping. Ginno in customer service was extremely responsive to me along the process, and got us the hammocks in time. Quality is spectacular, strong seams, and very comfortable to sleep. We had a bear roaming our remote camp the second night, and I had that worry of hanging above the bear’s path with only fabric between us. Eventually we fell asleep and woke up unscathed. Can’t wait to take these on our next trip through the Sierra Nevada mountains.
